Merry Christmas

Well, the past month has been a blurr so I have finally sat down and decided to do a post. Highlights of the past month include...
Owen and I spent a weekend up at my parents at the beginning of the month. Upon arriving Owen informed me that he is sleeping in "his" room and I'm in the guest room.

His room after an afternoon building an intricate
web of strings and stuff for his fort

I was spoiled with hot tea and breakfast each morning

Owen and Grandpa enjoyed the outdoors going
on adventures together

We watched from inside while they went hiking

Owen and Oma making some Christmas gifts

Goofy smiles

His latest obsession is pirates, we play pirates a lot!

As vacation time gets closer the mornings get harder

Thank goodness I opted for the kit instead of
making everything. What was I thinking!!

I did manage to make empanadas one night

Parents arrived on the 18th for a family dinner on the
weekend and Owen came down with a fever

Everyone started arriving and so did the presents,
much to Owens excitement

He was not impressed with how long everyone was
taking to gather in the living room

FINALLY. Time to open presents, well, time for
Owen to open everyones presents

Christmas crackers, fake moustaches, and a delish dinner
was enjoyed by everyone

Sunday afternoon everyone left but Owens fever
was still going strong. At least he was gifted some
pretty cool lego to distract him

Even sick, he's got a good sense of humor. Posing
and getting me to take pics

The 24th arrived but no snow sadly

Christmas morning was enjoyed by us three, it was
a really special day

Here comes Santa Claus

Saturday was the Tridel Childrens Christmas party,
breakfast was served,

Santa was there,

and we had a great time.

A visit with Santa was definitely a highlight

Giggles in the lobby, getting ready to head home

Less than five minutes in the car and Owen
was out cold.

Saturday afternoon was just as exciting, power tools
and renos with Daddy

To finish the day off, Owen helped me chop
and make the dinner,

and was enjoyed by all

Our Week

Snow!

This guy just never stops, even at 7am as
we are heading off to school

He wanted to go for another spin before heading home

The frozen fountain in front of school has been a
source of amusement this week, even more so
when it melted again

Same as first thing in the morning, he's a ball
of energy at the end of the day.
We love him so much.

An Update

It's 8pm on Sunday night, Owen's been asleep for an hour, I've had a shower and still have enough energy to do a post! Good times.

Skating lessons have not been going too well so...

Daddy and Owen have been spending quality time
at our local rink instead.

Someone got a hold of my phone one morning, obviously I was
taking too long to get ready

A proof of the cuteness overload from school.

Last weekend my parents took Owen for several days

The three of them had a wonderful time together

Lego was a big hit as usual

We relaxed. The entire time.

We made pizzas, Owens were the proper happy faces

As soon as Halloween was over, Owen was begging
to set up Christmas. I've been slowly getting
things out.

It's been getting chillier in the mornings as you
can see by Owen and Mr. Floppy all bundled up

Getting a little nutty for the camera!

Because Rob doesn't have enough on the go, he has
decided to move the door of the cold cellar from its
current position to directly at the bottom of the stairs

Here he is trying to convince me that he's doing it
all with the needle nose pliers

This Week In Pics

After three weeks of different types of illness I had figured
we were in the clear. Thursday morning school called
and Owen had a pretty high fever. Off to the Dr's
and home for the next two days.

The Dr gave us some different antibiotics and by
Friday night he was feeling much better.

A night shot of our very cool halloween decorations
