So now that I have that all sorted, I've started working out! It's no secret that I've put on a lot of weight in the past two years and now I feel I have the energy to do something about it. I started in mid January going twice a week to see a personal trainer. As expected, it has been about a month of pure exhaustion while I get used to it but it has proven to be such a great choice. My mental health has improved greatly as well as my physical, both were not doing so well. I'm looking forward to gaining some more fitness and start running again, I've started slowly on a treadmill without any balance issues so far.
Coming home one night after working out. Yes, I'm smiling. |
I also had an MRI recently to check on the remaining tumor. Turns out I was supposed to have one six months after the last but due to a miscommunication it ended up being 16 months. I'll be honest, I was pretty stressed out for the few days waiting for my results, I don't know if I could do this all over again!
Well, good news, nothing has changed since the surgery so next MRI is scheduled for two years from now. What a relief.
Oh, and to top it all off, I turned 40.
Not to sure how I feel about that yet.
