Another Milestone

It has occurred to me that I have stopped using straws to drink. With just half of my mouth having mobility drinking and eating have been a challenge this past year but slowly it has been improving. During our vacation to Jamaica I stopped using a straw with every drink and it seems to have stuck!
I don't ever remember consciously deciding to stop, it seemed to have happened naturally. Yahoo.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone from all of us. Rob and I stayed up past midnight to make sure 2013 was over as we are looking forward to a new year, it's got to be better than last year, right?

Winter Pt.2

Just as I hit publish we heard a very loud crack and bang. One of the limbs of our neighbours tree came down on our drive. Luckily Rob had tucked the truck sideways up against the garage earlier.

Welcome To Winter

Like everybody else we are in the middle of a pretty nasty ice storm. Here are a few pics from last night and today from around our neighbourhood. We have been fortunate to not have lost power as so many other people have, fingers crossed that it stays that way. 

It has been raining for most of the morning making it even more dangerous to get around. Trees and limbs are continuously falling so the guys are all being kept pretty busy today.

We're Back

We had an amazing, hot and sunny vacation. It was really great to spend so much time together as the three of us and just relax. 

I will post pics of our vacation soon but in the meantime...
