Elmvale Zoo

Wednesday started off as a dull and cloudy day and I was looking for an adventure. We had already been to the pool and play group this week and I was looking for something different. Not coming up with anything interesting I figured it would be a trip to the grocery store then some baking for us but at the very last second I thought of the zoo.
We were in the car and there in an hour. It's about 20 min past Barrie and such a great little spot. Parking was free, being under three Owen was free so it was $17.50 for me and that's all. It the perfect size for small ones to run around and see everything and enjoy the day.
Owen would run from pen to pen saying "dis way" with such excitement. He would also say Hi to Bye to each of the animals.
We are definitely going again, this time making sure all three of us can go!

Long Overdue Update

First Owen was sick, then I caught some viral infection and could barely swallow for almost a week on top of feeling like death and poor Rob had been fighting something for over a month. So needless to say we have all been laying pretty low.
We are all starting to feel better so here are some pics from the past few weeks.

Grandad and Cindy came for dinner and brought a
remote helicopter, someone was pretty happy

Yesterday Owen decided he didn't want a nap so when
I said it was bathtime he got all kinds of goofy
on me. I couldn't help but laugh.

Unfortunately by the time the weekend had come Owen had caught a cold somehow. He was still wanting to play outside but has been coughing and pretty snotty. We all had a fun weekend though!

This Week So Far

Even though it's only Wednesday this week has already felt like a long one. Owen has been either taking really short naps or none at all for the past two weeks which has been challenging for me. I have decided not to fight it and just have fun while we can!

Owen woke up at 3:30am on Sat so Rob went and got him,
I came down a few hours later to find them asleep on the sofa

This Week In pics

Oma came to visit this week and I have finally figured out why I never take any pics during these visits, because I run around like a maniac trying to get a million things accomplished. 

Rob and I were able to get a couple of projects started on around the house along with some gardening with the help from my Mom. It was a very busy but fun week.

This Week In Pics

While Owen napped I transplanted this hydrangea
from the back, what a beast

This week has been a rainy one so we spent one afternoon
at a local nursery and had a blast. The bowl of pansies
were a freebie and fit nicely on the front porch, bonus!

Owen had to go a check everything out, including the
bobcat and tractors

The rain also meant several days visiting the
play group which he loved

Earlier in the week it was sunny and the boys
enjoyed being pulled around, the only time they were still

While visiting Canadian Tire Owen was only interested in the sheds
