This Week In Pics

It has been a really loooong week. Owen started with a hacking cough on Saturday night and by the next morning it was a full blown cold. He did not want to be with out me for a moment do for four days him and I did a lot of couch surfing. His longest stretches of any sleep were two hours and even those were restless, thankfully by Wed he was back to sleeping in his own bed and Thurs night all three of us finally had a good night sleep. So of course, I woke up with Owen's cold on Fri.

I finally got a hair cut, it was looking pretty shaggy

Thurs Owen started to show signs of himself

I somehow managed to premake a bunch of smoothies,
don't know when!

He managed to pull of his pants and diaper during
naptime. At least I had a good laugh

This Week In Pics

I find that as Owen gets busier I'm taking less pictures. He's always into something and very rarely ever is still, hopefully I'll get my groove back and capture more of our daily shenanigans.

This past weekend the weather was pretty nice so a great
opportunity to check out the backyard

We even fired up the BBQ, first of the season

Tuesday was almost 10 degrees so it was a full day outside

And to top it off, march break so his girls are home! Notice the wardrobe
change, there were several that day

By 6pm it was time for a quick sit down. These two are one month apart in age and are
starting to enjoy playing together. James lives right across from us.

This Week In Pics

There are some weeks that I'm positive that I've posted when really I haven't, oops!

Helping me clear off the car this morning

Oma came by for a few days and this is the only pic I got,
Owen just loves having Oma over

I tried to put a sweater on him and it was total refusal,
he went to his closet and picked out this jacket from
Uh Sha (uncle Sean) and wore it all day

He insisted on taking the coffee with us on our walk

Some days this is exactly how I feel

This is Brody, our neighbours dog

He's quite large but incredibly cuddly

I came up the stairs to see Owen watching something
very closely...

It was Rob was pulling icicles off the eaves

After swim lessons, Owen snuck into the locker and
refused to come out

So I gave him his snack, he finished it and tossed it
outside, still hanging out in the locker

He loves going to the drop in center and playing all morning

No matter how tired we are or challenging it may be, this pretty much sums it all up. He's a pretty cool little guy and we are so lucky to have him in our lives.

This Week In Pics

Wednesday was yet another major dump of snow

I shoveled three times that day, it never stopped!

The kids all had a snow day so we joined in

The weather was beautiful this weekend so Owen was out with
the girls, climbing up snow mountain

He had to take Rob and show him how he can climb it now

Making forts with our pillows is great entertainment

Owen now lines everything up in nice neat lines, it's pretty cute to randomly
find his collections

This Week In pics

My Mom came to visit for four days and of course I didn't get any pics, I was too busy running around doing things!! Owen loved having Oma visit and still asks for her whenever we go past the guest room. It was really nice having my Mom and Sis stay over to celebrate all the birthdays together. 

A big Happy Birthday to us all.

They took down snow mountain in the beginning of
the week as it had become taller than the dump truck

My Sis took me out for a day of spoiling me while Oma was over to babysit.
First stop, Bobette & Belle for coffee and sweets

Then on to the spa for manicure, massage, eyebrows and all the other
relaxing and fantastic things you get 

Leanne stayed Thurs night and Owen treated everyone to a 4 am wake up call.
We were all a bit tired that morning

Off to bed

Friday night Rob and I had gondola seats for the Rock game. A great
match up between Toronto and Vancouver

Weekends are great for spending the day in your jammies

Last piece of lemon meringue cake from Leanne went
so nicely with my morning espresso

Owen was so cute wrapping himself up in his blanket
all morning and saying "shhhhhh"

And then I came down from a little nap to see this.
Now it all made sense!

We went to the pool to play and got a stamp on our hands,
Owen walked around all day with his hand like this
and pointing to it. I couldn't stop laughing.

When we got home it was a perfect opportunity to open up the
car doors and play for a bit. The sun felt so good
